Friends with Benefits

In the last few weeks I have gotten to thinking about "friends with benefits" My girls and boys have talked about the concept, and finally I decided to write about it. First let's start with those three words: Friends with benefits. Typically described as two people who are strictly friends, no emotions involved, that sexually mess around with one another to "benefit" in some way. However, how long can that really last for? Sex brings on all sorts of stresses or emotions that can't be helped by either party involved. Maybe he starts to get jealous, or she starts to think of him as more than a friend. Has there ever been a situation where both parties actually benefit and can remain friends? Personally I don't think so. I have yet to see or hear about that happening. Bottom line: there is no benefit to friends with benefits. It's just like the mythical unicorn that you hear about, you read about, but you never see it.

It's kind of an oxymoron, I mean even friends that you DON'T have sex with have expectations. Expectations are really disappointments in disguise......
