cause this is THRILLER

The fall, Michael Jackson will be releasing his own line of clothing with fellow designer, Christian Audigier. Audigier told People magazine, "it's the merging of the King of Pop with the King of Fashion. Something explosive is going to happen." The line will be sold only at Kitson in L.A.
Lets hope that Audigier has a strong impact on Jackson's style & taste...stay tuned

What it takes to be a man

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a man, my son!

-Rudyard Kipling

Big man in politics, Big man in fashion

Presidential candidate, Barack Obama, has inspired Donnatella Versace & her entire Spring 2009 collection. Donnatella said that Obama is the "man of the moment," and that he (as well as the collection) represents a "relaxed man who doesn't need to flex muscles to show he has power." Her collections includes: NO ties, slim trousers, pasteles, pinstrips, and rolled up sleeves.

Man dress

Well, among many of the interesting things showing in Milan, PRADA showed off quite the stylish "man dress."
Men...would you wear this?

Fill in the Blank _______

As most of you know, the men's shows have begun in Milan. Vivienne Westwood found one of the most memorable male models to date. It's most definitely not your run-of-the-mill model who is thin, muscular, & hairless. Personally, I think this is just fabulous! Just what the industry needs.

Question & Answer

I’ve been asked if “it's really possible to fall in love at a young age?” Well, I’m not quite sure if anybody knows the answer to this question, but it’s most definitely true that there can be lust or a strong infatuation. How could a person who is changing almost on a month-to-month basis have their feelings remain steady and fall in love with one person? Being young is all about making mistakes, and learning from them. Many at this age end up being quite promiscuous.

There are the girls I’ve seen who one day seem to be head over heels and then the next—over it. Which may be a result of looking too hard for love.

Then there are the girls who love living the single life and who end up being serial daters and have trouble settling down with just one man.

However, no matter who you are, or how old you are, my advice still remains—if you truly ever think that you’ve found someone special, you should always go for it, in hopes of just the possibility of finding love or finding something else. Maybe these young years may cause us to change, but what if we can find another who change with us? Well then…I guess it is possible.

Gone to 'Summer Camp'

W magazine produced a very risqué spread for their July edition entitled 'Summer Camp.' Models: Kate Moss, Daria Werbowy and Lara Stone are the feature models of the months issue. Talk about having fun in the sun....

The Invitation (take a second to read)

It doesn't interest me what you do for a living.
I want to know what you ache for,
and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.

It doesn't interest me how old you are.
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool
for love, for your dreams,
for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon.
I want to know if you have touched
the centre of your own sorrow,
if you have been opened by life's betrayals
or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain.

I want to know if you can sit with pain,
mine or your own, without moving to hide it
or fade it or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy mine or your own.
if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy
fill you to the tips of your fingers
and toes without cautioning us
to be careful, be realistic,
remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true.
I want to know if you can disappoint another
to be true to yourself.
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not pretty every day,
and if you can source your own life from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine,
and still stand at the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,“Yes.”

It doesn't interest me to know where you live,
or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair,
weary and bruised to the bone,
and do what needs to be done to feed the children.

It doesn't interest me who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the centre of the fire with me and not shrink back.

It doesn't interest me where or what
or with whom you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you from the inside
when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone with yourself,
and if you truly like the company
you keep in the empty moments.

GAS

for those city girls & boys who prefer not to take public transportation, and have found the comfort of their own car to be more suitable, i have good news. despite the prediction of gas prices hitting anywhere between $5 and $10 a gallon, shawn tully, editor at large for fortune magazine begs to differ. "high-flying tech stocks crashed. the roaring housing market crumbled. and oil, rest assured, will follow the same path down." it makes sense doesn't it?

Karl Lagerfeld has done it again

A little while a go, it was a $12,000 Chanel bike...now he has taken it to a whole new level of fabulous...that's right he has just created a Chanel fishing rod.

City girls-this is the ultimate way to keep it rugged.

secret #2

most women (and when i say most, i am excluding the women that you wouldn't want to date anyways-these types are high maintenance) are easily pleased...well easier than you think. it doesn't take some extravagant gesture to catch our eye. we don't need a lot. we look for the little things.

Things to Remember...

*At least two people in this world love you so much they would die for you.
*At least fifteen people in this world love you in some way.
*The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you.
*A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.
*Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.
*You mean the world to someone.
*There is someone that you don't even know exists, who loves you.
*When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
*When you think the world has turned its back on you, take a look: you most likely
turned your back on the world.

Yves Saint Laurent, the man who redesigned how today's woman dressed, has passed at age 71. Your threads, your creativity, your innovative touch will be missed.

secret #1

most girls don't mean what they say. there is usually some underlying meaning, where you boys need to decipher a code. for example: when a girl says "go ahead, do what you want," they really mean, "you're gonna pay if you don't stay here with me, and do what I WANT."

however, secret #1 is that not all girls are like this. especially city girls-we don't have time for all the bull shit-we say what we mean, and mean what we say...straight to the point. no need to double think our words.
