Too Blessed to be Stressed.

So January and February were a little rough around the edges. Ok make that VERY rough. I feel like maybe New Years didn't quite wipe the slate clean..but perhaps 2009 was picking through the pile of complexities left behind by '08, and decided to simplify come this month. March is off to a brilliant start. Nana and I are so excited, head over heels and incredibly in love with what it is that's in store...finally what we've been dreaming about and working on is coming together. It feels so good. I am looking forward to the smiles, the frowns, the sweat, the tears, the laughs, the surprises and the magic that the next 300 days are to reveal. Now, I know that some of you think that proclaimed "self-help" books are lame but seriously, don't stereotype this one. The insight is very calming,re-assuring and guiding. I think it also serves as good reflection regarding steps that perhaps you have already begun to take. Pick it up, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

2009 is coming hard with sneaker headway. Seems like rubber soles might be the new focal point for '09 fashion. Guess stilettos will have to scoot over and share the limelight. Now if "game" was finally packaged and up for sale...this is what it'd look like (hint: the kicks do all the talking for you).

I'm in school to get my business degree. And in most of my classes, we talk about financial security. The thought about financial security brought my attention to the idea of security in general. There is no security in this world. Material things can break, or not provide a service they're meant to do. Friends are what you're supposed to be able to depend on, but even then-no security. A relationship or a marriage-no security. Finances-no security. So what you may ask can you find security in? You and you only can find security within yourself. The relationship you have with yourself is the most important relationship you will ever have. So treat yourself well, be honest with yourself, dream big, never stop when people say you can't, and never ever give up on yourself.

AT first thought it was a bit strange...now I'm kinda feelin their vision.

Las Olas

It starts off quietly, almost without warning.
The sound then picks up at rapid speed.
Almost simultaneously as it reaches it's climax-it ends.
Abruptly.
Another happens just as the other stops.
The only thing I may be able to see is the stars in the sky,
and although the waves aren't visible, I know they're there.
Not because I can hear them, but because I can feel them.
Some may be stronger than others, and some get by without notice.
But the beauty of them is no less.
They are brief, unique moments in time that have the power to
stop all rational train of thought-and escape from our everyday lives-
and just live.
